Event Group Tracks
Tracks sort the events inside a single Event Group into separate columns — A, B, C, or D — so a group that holds two kinds of subtitle does not read as one long list. Timing and text are unchanged. Tracks are an organizing layer you can reassign as often as you need.
A common use is keeping Forced Narrative Subtitles distinct from the main dialogue in the same group, then choosing which tracks belong in each export file.

Assigning events to a track
Select the events you want to group, right-click, and use Assign To Track. Choose A, B, C, or D. The dash (—) is No Track.
You can also assign tracks from the keyboard. The Editor shortcut group includes Assign Track None and Assign Track A–D. Defaults are Ctrl+Alt+Digit0–4 on Windows and Cmd+Alt+Digit0–4 on Mac. See Keyboard Shortcuts.
Any event that is already on a letter track also has a track dropdown on its own card, so you can move a single event without reselecting a range.
Assignment is blocked while the Event Group is locked. Unlock the group first; see Locking Event Groups.
Reading the columns
Assigned events split into columns, one per track that is in use. Instead of scrolling one mixed list, you can compare each track side by side. Events with No Track stay in the main column.
In Table View, show the Track column (hidden by default) to scan or change assignments in the grid.
Clearing an assignment
Select the events again, open Assign To Track, and choose the dash (No Track). The events drop back into the main column. Nothing about their timing or text changes.
Filtering by track
The Event List filter panel can show only events on selected tracks. Open the funnel icon above the Event List. The Track row sits next to Lines.
The toggles are No Track, A, B, C, and D. With nothing selected, the track filter is off and every event stays visible. Selecting more than one value shows events that match any of those tracks (OR).
List View and Table View both hide events that do not match. Shift-click and Select All apply only to the filtered set.
The funnel stays highlighted while any filter is active. Switching Event Groups clears filters.
Choosing tracks on export
Tracks carry through to subtitle export. Open File > Export > Subtitle File, then More Options. The Export Tracks list lets you choose which tracks belong in the file. Hold Ctrl (Windows) or Cmd (Mac) to select more than one. All tracks, including No Track, are selected by default.
Dialogue List export includes the same Export Tracks control under More Options.
